TRACK REVIEW : Men I Trust - Seven

Montreal natives, Men I Trust, have been making a lot of noise recently with their strategic releases of singles alongside gorgeous visuals. Recorded and shot by and for them, Men I Trust are a real indie talent. Their new song “Seven” follows the same formula and thankfully, it hasn’t gotten tiring.

“Seven” opts for a more upbeat dance feel, a rubbery infectious bass groove paired with the effortless vocal passages and guitar licks which appear to skip & hop over the track, until it finally falls into its own groove with a ephemeral solo for the last quarter of the song. As for the visual for “seven”, we are transported to a serene forest in which we witness 3 young woman traveling throughout it. The visual climax’s at a 70s inspired home where we get a change of scene to go with the change in the track. “seven” is a single of Men I Trust’s upcoming untitled album due February 2019. Make sure to return here for our review on it.
